(Boat license required) The Jegertunet around the corner has a restaurant, tennis courts and swimming pool. Visit the Sørlandsstadt Risør with its characteristic white wooden houses, saltwater aquarium, restaurants, festivals like Trebåtfestival in August, etc. Or take a boat trip to the restaurants on Stangholmen just outside the city. If you are interested in horses, you can book on Rønningen Gård or Hest i Villmark horse riding. For Stabbestad there are golf courses and spa hotel. If you pull a long winter weekend with relaxation outside the main winter destinations into consideration, this House recommends possibility of cross-country skiing on the lighted trail in Søndeled (15 km). It's only a half hour drive to "Den Lille Dyrehage", a small zoo in Brokelandsheia with Norway's largest rainforest. Full Telemark and the coastal town of Kragerø are just around the corner.
