In the north of the Netherlands lies the old harbor town of Enkhuizen. In one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the old town of Enkhuizen is the vacation home VOC Huys. It is a listed building from 1777 and is a house that with its authentic atmosphere is reminiscent of earlier times, but at the same time meets today's demands for comfort. The accommodation was renovated and modernized in 2013 and is excellently equipped. Thus, this apartment has, among other things, a whirlpool, a sauna and a wellness shower to relax. The apartment can accommodate 10 people. Behind the house is a city garden. From the 1st and 2nd floor you have a beautiful view of the IJsselmeer. The 2nd floor has a loggia where you can sit wonderfully and enjoy the view over the old town of Enkhuizen. Furthermore, there are many details that create a nice, authentic atmosphere and remind you of back then. You can even sleep in an alcove, an alcove with a bed.
Boredom is not an option in Enkhuizen: there is plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. For example, you can visit the Zuiderzee Museum or sunbathe at the Enkhuizer Zand; there is also a nice covered swimming pool. For the younger children, the large playground and a trip to the Fairy Tale Wonderland (Sproojkeswonderland) are just the thing. Be sure to also plan a stay in Amsterdam, Alkmaar and Bataviastad. The vacation home takes you back to the old times, but at the same time offers the luxurious comfort of today. In short, an ideal vacation spot. There are 4 normal bedrooms, the 5th bedroom is an alcove (200 x 140 cm), a place that the kids will surely love as a place to sleep!
