Group house in the centre of Germany
This holiday house is situated in the middle of Germany in the beautiful Wehretal. You can enjoy peace and quiet here in the village.
The house was built in the 1960s and provides ample space for gatherings. There is a group room with a fireplace and a piano. You can spend cosy hours on the big sofa or playing games together at the long table. The ground floor of the house has two lovely bedrooms, one with three beds and one with a double bed. It also has a bathroom, a kitchen and the group room. The upper floor has four further bedrooms. The first is furnished with a double bed, the next (purple, because of the wallpaper) bedroom has three single beds, while the family room is for up to five people and also has a sitting corner, and the last bedroom has two beds that can be either separate or joined. A bathroom and a storage room round it off. In total the house can accommodate up to 17 adults and an additional two children in junior beds.
There is a large garden with a table and plenty of chairs for everyone, space for a little campfire and grilling.
There is a lot to experience here in the Werra-Meißner area. It is always worth going on a little walk at the Germerode game park 4km away. Those who would like to experience nature can do so at the Hoher Meißner with many well-signposted hiking paths. The Werratalsee at Eschwege invites you to go swimming. You can also go on paddle tours on the Werra or visit an old coal mine in Abterode. Those seeking cultural highlights should visit the Wartburg near Eisenach, where you can walk on the trail of Luther. Eisenach is about a 45-minute drive away. You can get to know the history of the division of Germany in the romantic little timber-framed town Bad Sooden-Allendorf at the Grenzmuseum. The water sports and leisure centre at Werratalsee in Eschwege is about 12km away and it is 11km to the Espada leisure pool in Eschwege. The nearby Meißner-Kaufunger forest will entice you all year round with a range of recreational activities, with a ski slope and cross-country skiing trails in winter.
