On the southern slope of the Thuringian Forest, in the immediate vicinity of the Rennsteig, Germany's most famous high-altitude hiking trail, these cozy vacation homes await you. An extensive, well-signposted network of hiking trails begins right outside your front door.

You will stay in a wonderfully situated Finn cottage directly at the edge of the forest, where you can leave everyday life behind you. The highlight, a soothing sauna, on the first floor invites you to do so. Here you can recharge your batteries and relax on cold days. There is also a shower to cool down and a toilet.

The upper floor, where the cozy living area awaits you, can be reached via a massive wooden staircase. Even when cooking in the American kitchen, you can enjoy the magnificent view of the foothills of the Thuringian Forest. If you are not cooking, make yourself comfortable on the cozy sofa and also be inspired by the view or relax in front of the flatscreen TV.
Via a steep, open wooden staircase you reach the sleeping area in the pointed roof, which again has a small TV.

Your vacation home is the starting point for hikes to many worthwhile destinations, such as the highest mountain in the Thuringian Forest, the Great Beerberg, the Suhler Hut or the Schmücke. The well-developed and signposted hiking trail network leads you directly through the UNESCO - biosphere reserve. If it should be very hot, a cooling down in the nearby forest bath invites you.
Experience your vacation in untouched nature and enjoy the silence at the foot of the Rennsteig. In winter, about 70km of groomed cross-country trails around the Rennsteig area at the Beerberg massif invite you to active recreation. Also friends of alpine skiing get their money's worth on the steep slopes around the Salzberg. Whether summer or winter, active vacationers and those seeking peace and quiet will get their money's worth here.
